Noosa - Better than Byron Bay
Location: Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Australia
Dates traveled: November 2023
Total days: 4

1. Relaxing lifestyle with atmosphere
2. Golden sand beaches & clean water
3. Lots of delicious restaurants & cafes to choose from

Noosa is the ultimate destination for a relaxing holiday, balanced with all year atmosphere. As soon as you arrive into the small clean Noosa Heads town you are met salt air kisses from the sea close by and a mixture of locals and tourist who fit into the relaxed wellness vibe that Noosa creates.
Unlike Surfers Paradise where it is typically flashy, Noosa is similar to Byron Bay below the Gold Coast. I personally prefer Noosa over Byron Bay as I find there is more happening and more selection of activities and spots to relax/walk.

On this trip we explored the waterways on an evening cruise where you take your own drinks to enjoy while watching the sunset and pointing out your favourite house designs along the way. There are a couple of cruise companies, costs est $38AUD.

The rive cruise wasn't the only place where we enjoyed the sunset, one of our favourite beach spots to relax during the day and watch the sunset in the evening is the Noosa River entrance at the very end of Noosa Heads beach. There is plenty of parking close by if you have a car.

A must do when you're visiting the Sunshine Coast, visit a Surf Club for lunch or dinner, they are always full of atmosphere and large meals for great prices. Our favourite is the Noosa Heads SLSC located on the beach where every table has a view. Another Surf Club close by which has been recently renovated is the Sunshine Beach SLSC, this would be great spot to have a morning coffee and watch the sunrise.

If you're in Noosa for a celebration or would like to treat yourself to a fancy dinner out, Gusto Riverfront Restaurant provides mouth watering European food over looking the river.
